BIONi010-C

A well-characterized hiPSC line for disease modelling, gene editing, and drug discovery research.

BIONi010-C is a widely used human induced pluripotent stem cell (hiPSC) line developed by Bioneer to support disease modelling, gene editing, and drug discovery across a broad range of research areas.

Originally derived from human dermal fibroblasts and reprogrammed using a non-integrating episomal method, BIONi010-C has become a trusted starting point for both academic and industry research.

Its proven performance, extensive characterization, and availability of genetically modified derivatives make it a robust platform for advanced cellular model development, either used directly by researchers in their own studies or as a foundation for Bioneer-led disease modelling and gene editing services.

Looking to use BIONi010-C in your next project?

We can support your research project all the way from gene editing and disease model development to quality control and cell banking.

Scientific background

BIONi010-C is a human induced pluripotent stem cell (hiPSC) line generated from dermal fibroblasts obtained from a healthy male donor of Black African ethnicity.

Reprogramming was performed using a non-integrating episomal vector approach, enabling the generation of pluripotent cells without genomic integration of reprogramming factors.

The cell line was originally published under the name K3P53 in a study investigating transient p53 suppression during reprogramming of human fibroblasts. Read the study here.

Since its initial publication, BIONi010-C has been used extensively in disease modelling and cell engineering applications and has served as the foundation for numerous genetically modified derivatives.
