Scientist – CNS Modelling

Bioneer is seeking a scientist with experience in stem cells and neuronal differentiation.

The position is within the Department for Cellular Engineering & Disease Modelling at Bioneer. The Department offers disease modelling in the CNS, cancer and immunology fields, including assay development to companies worldwide. We have an advanced iPSC and gene editing team to help and build relevant CNS models.

You will work in a fast-paced collaborative customer-focused environment and contributing to further development of the CNS area at Bioneer.

  • Develop neuronal differentiation protocols and CNS cell models.
  •  Participate in customer and research projects in accordance with time lines and expectations to quality
  • Prepare presentations to Bioneer customers together with the Bioneer sales team
  • Taking part in future strategic CNS research and development at Bioneer
  • Effectively communicate results, progress and plans to Bioneer management and team members

It is expected that the candidate interacts with the Bioneer sales team to deliver high quality CNS modelling solutions customized to our customer’s needs.


Our preferred candidate is a Ph.D. level scientist with experience from working with induced pluripotent stem cells and neuronal differentiation. Experience in gene editing is a plus.

  • You enjoy working in the laboratory and have hands-on experience with techniques and methods used for neuronal differentiation
  • Experience with gene editing and imaging technologies for evaluating neuronal phenotypes is a plus
  • You are a team player and gets stimulated by working across teams with different competences supporting the development of neuronal cells and CNS cell models
  • You possess good interpersonal and communicative skills since you will interact with clients and collaborators, both in Denmark and abroad.
  • You have the ability and drive to move projects forward, work in a well-structured manner and deliver expected results according to milestones and deadlines
  • Attention to detail and good oral and written communication skills required
